Economist Joe Barber has joined film executives Richard Wolff and Richard Ross to launch Philadelphia-based distributor, Entertaining Pictures.

The company will specialise in releasing content in theatres and across other platforms as well as providing service deals.

“We’re not going to be afraid of offending a few people,” Ross said. “I want to provide options to people that they’re going to feel strongly about and show films with themes that are not being explored at this moment in time.”

Acquisitions will be announced in due course.
