Luxembourg-based Paul Thiltges Distributions (PTD) will handle international sales on Austrian filmmaker Michael Glawogger's documentary Workingman's Death.The film will have its world premiere in the Orizzonti sidebar at Venice next month.Produced by Lotus Film with Germany's Quinte Film, Workingman's Death focuses on the act of performing heavy manual labour and on those workers who toil at it each day under different social and economic conditions around the world. Production stretched over two years between 2002 and 2004 at locations in Ukraine, Java, Pakistan, Germany, Nigeria and China. The film will be released theatrically in Austria in November 2005 by Filmladen. PTD also served as the sales agent for Glawogger's previous documentary Megacities which premiered in the Piazza Grande open-air programme at the Locarno Film Festival in 1998 and won the best documentary prize at the Sao Paulo Film Festival.
