The Hollywood Foreign Press Association has invited back the British enfant terrible to emcee the 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills.
Gervais’ irreverent reflections on the film industry became the talk of the town when he hosted the Golden Globes from 2010-12.
In that time the ceremony, broadcast on NBC, registered an average 5.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 17million viewers, marking a 6% gain on the 2009 telecast in that demographic and a 14% gain in total viewers.
The HFPA will announce its nominations on December 10 ahead of the January 10 2016 telecast.
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosted the show for the last three years. dick clark productions and the HFPA produce the telecast.
