DreamWorks Animation chief Jeffrey Katzenberg and his cohorts staged a half-day media presentation in Los Angeles [January 14] as the company heads into the busiest year in its relatively short history.
2010 will see the release of three DreamWorks Animation features and the gathered press were shown work-in-progress footage from Megamind, featuring the voice talent of Will Ferrell, Brad Pitt, Tina Fay and Jonah Hill. The film will open in North America on November 5 and rolls out in key markets throughout winter.
Director Mike Mitchell introduced the first 30 minutes from Shrek Forever After, which has the core franchise cast of Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, Eddie Murphy and Antonio Banderas and is scheduled to open on May 21 in North America.
A full-length screening of How To Train Your Dragon rounded off the visual presentation before attendees joined DreamWorks executives and select talent over lunch.
Hill, Gerard Butler, Kristen Wiig and America Ferrera lead the voice cast and the film is set to open on March 26 in North America and key markets.
