Television New Zealand (TVNZ) programme commissioner joining Film New Zealand to encourage more productions to the country.
Film New Zealand has appointed Philippa Mossman to the newly created role of director of business development and enquiries.
CEO Gisella Carr said: “Philippa will be actively working to identify and encourage serious screen projects which could be based in New Zealand. She will be a direct point of contact for international enquiries looking at what the New Zealand market has to offer.”
The screen industry is worth nearly $3.3bn in revenue to the New Zealand economy, according to latest Statistics New Zealand figures.
Mossman has 20 years of experience in the New Zealand production sector with roles in production, channel management, programming and partnership at TVNZ.
Prior to TVNZ, she held production roles at Greenstone Pictures and was an executive member of the Screen Production and Development Association.
She will relocate from Auckland to Wellington for the role.
