Pinewood Studios has launched a production services company in Ireland to help its TV and film clients take advantage of the country’s recently enhanced tax incentives.
Pinewood Productions Ireland Limited will service Pinewood’s international clients shooting on location in Ireland by offering pre-production budgeting and location scouting, facilities rentals and talent and crew sourcing.
It will also help with applications for tax credit via Ireland’s Section 481 programme, which from January this year was increased to up to 32% of eligible Irish expenditure.
The tax credit is now based on the cost of all cast and crew working in Ireland, regardless of nationality.
Pinewood plans to hire a head of production to run its Ireland offering.
Pinewood Studios Group commercial director Nick Smith said: “We are delighted to announce this exciting new venture in Ireland.
“Pinewood Productions Ireland will expand Pinewood’s global offering and enhance the services we can offer our International clients.”
