Dawn of the Planet of the Apes also proves popular in the UK.
With Transformers: Age of Extinction already having raked in nearly $625m at the worldwide box office, UK cinemagoers are adding to its buzz on social networks.
Nearly 25,000 comments were made online from July 3-9 on its first week of release in the UK. Of those, around 25% expressed an intent to view.
It dwarfed animation sequel How To Train Your Dragon 2, which generated 3,400 comments ahead of its opening this wekeend.
But coming in strong was action sequel Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, which swung more than 7,800 comments, of which a third expressed an intent to view.
