ScreenDaily’s review of the top 11 international territories at the box office over 2009.
Last year saw 3D movies flex their muscles and help to drive up cinema-going and gross box office around the globe. Screen reviews the top 11 territories, looking at the stories, looking at the stories behind the unexpected hits and misses in each market and how local audiences responded to both home-grown films as well as the international juggernauts and niche curious.
Methodology for all territories
The foreign-release charts refers to the performance of international titles not produced by either the local industry or sthe US.
